Seven 40-feet long cargo containers were equipped as electrical control rooms by Faith Technologies and then precision installed 25 feet in the air by Atlas Rigging & Transfer. The control rooms were pre-built and shipped to McCain Foods in Othello, Washington to accelerate and streamline the install.
Each control room container weighed between 25,000-45,000 pounds. To secure each container, they had to be lifted 25 feet and welded to the fabricated truss clips. Atlas chose to lift each container using the safest methods available while maintaining a strict milestone schedule.
The job required these heavy containers to be fit within a ceiling walk contructed only 2 inches below each container. This required precision work to maintain very tight tolerances. Notably, each container was installed within 1/8 inch of level from front-to-back and side-to-side.
Faith Technologies is an energy expert and national leader in electrical planning, engineering, design and installation. McCain Foods is the world’s largest manufacturer of frozen potato products and supplies french fries, potato specialties, appetizers and desserts to retail and foodservice customers around the globe.
